Who is Minerva?
Minerva is the Roman Goddess of wisdom and crafts. She’s also a professor at Hogwarts, school of magic and wizardry
Howevermuch I’d love to me of those two amazing women, I am not. I am Michelle, and Minerva Photography is my company. You can call me Minerva if it confuses you, you have my permission.
Are you incorporated, licensed, and insured?
Yup!
Do you have any difficulty with low light situations?
Due to experience, I have become prepared with every situation you can possibly think of regarding lighting! I have a variety of low light lenses for no-flash areas such as churches and during ceremonies, to video lights and strobes to light up the dance floor.
Do you do anything else other than weddings and engagements?
Honestly, no. A wise old man once said to me “if you wake up every day doing what you want to, then you will never feel like you worked a day in your life” so I highly take that into consideration while picking my jobs. I love weddings, I love engagements, so that’s what I do. Depending on how close we get, I’ll do your belly pictures too =) (after the wedding of course!)
I would like to see more photos than what you have on your site. Can I see entire weddings you’ve done?
Of course you can! Consultations are the best time and place to show you my collection of weddings and engagements!
Do you edit the pictures?
All of the images that you receive on the disc are color/exposure corrected, cropped, and aligned. If you would like any further “manipulations” done to the images (ie: a nip here, a tuck there, and perhaps a head swap or item/person removal) then the prices vary depending on the editing job.
Do you make wedding albums?
Yes! They’re all a-la-carte considering all of my packages are 100% custom made. You get to choose which size, type of cover, and how many pages you want!
Do I receive the copyright to all of the images?
When you receive the disc, you receive a document issuing “usage rights” which allows you to print and use the images for personal purposes only (printing, sharing with family, etc). However the legal “intellectual property” copyright remains with the photographer, which allows us to publish the images on our blog and use for advertising. If you do not want any of the images that I take of you put on my website, blog, or used for advertising then just let me know and I’ll scratch it out![]()
How do I set up a consultation with you?
Just send me an e-mail to Michelle@MinervaPhotography.com (best way!) or leave me a voicemail at 954.552.1495!
Do you have an office?
Currently, no office. I found that my house and PJs are far more comfortable
but when we meet, I’d love to find a place between us to have a nice cup of coffee and talk weddings!
Is it just you who comes to the wedding or do you bring someone?
It’s always myself photographing and I always bring a trusty, handy-dandy assistant!
Does anyone else photograph besides you?
On occasion I will have my assistant take a couple of photographs here and there during the ceremony, but everything is primarily by me.
What if I want two photographers?
No problemo! I have a network of photographers I trust and work with that would be super excited to 2nd shoot your wedding with me!
Do you do everything yourself?
Pretty much! I like it that way too.
If I wanted my engagement session in the studio, can you do that?
No. Parks are so much nicer, yes?
But, do you have access to a studio?
Of course! There are many studio rental spaces in the south Florida area! There are a few favorites that I have as well, but there is an additional cost. But, if you wanted, lets say, a boudoir session for your groom-to-be, I would say “let’s get a fancy-shmancy hotel suite!” –SO much better than a studio!
But I really, really, really want to photograph in the studio!
Really? Can I convince you otherwise?
So how do I book you?
You contact, we meet, we discuss, we agree, we sign, and you provide a 25% deposit.
