Kayla and Kenneth were married at the Royal Fiesta in Deerfield Beach in April. This fun group and I were able to hop on over to a local park less than a mile down the road for some portraits! I love how this bride had a “man of honor” –proof that your best guy friend can be in your bridal party!

Elmarie and Francisco had a cozy and intimate spring destination wedding at The Addison in Boca Raton followed by a five course dinner, heart warming speeches, impressive ballroom dancing, and a sparkler send off! All of their guests flew in from all over the world! The event was coordinated by Orchestrated Occasions.

This is what photography friends do– take their camera to their friends weddings! I’m so glad I did! Ahh! This wedding was fabulous  Any wedding that ends out with an Iron Maiden song is! My husband was the best man here. He’s the fellow picking the groom’s nose at the bottom of this blog. <3

One thing I know I’m bad at– updating my blog as much as I originally intended. I gratefully photographed 43 weddings in 2011 and have only uploaded a handful, mainly because I get absolutely overwhelmed with what to post and what not to post. My original goal was to upload every session and every wedding, but believe it or not blogging is time consuming!!! So my solution? I have designated 1 day per week as my “blog days” mainly to upload everything I’ve done the week prior. Lets see if that works!

Here is blog day number 1 for this week. This engagement session is actually of a good friend of mine (and my husband’s best friend) and his lovely new wife. He moved to Vancouver back in 2007 and we were so happy to attend his wedding this past February!  My husband was the best man, and I declined the photographer position because I wanted to truly be there as a guest… so what did I do? I offered to do their engagement session and brought my camera to the wedding anyway.

So here is their engagement session! I was absolutely freezing since I’m a true Floridian and 20-40 degrees is not fun to be in. We first went to “the lake” (that’s what they called it) which was lovely, of course, but I really wanted to get into the swampland with the gorgeous view of the mountains. After a bit of pestering I finally got my wish!

I honestly can’t wait to get the pictures up from their wedding and engagement shoot! I seriously need some free time to make more posts!!!

I was so excited to photograph Alexys and Alex’s engagement session at the Morikami Japanese Museum and Gardens in Delray Beach! I’ve been hooked on the idea of doing an engagement session there ever since I shot a wedding there back in November. The grounds are so beautiful, and if you get to photograph at the right time, the lighting is perfect everywhere you go. After the park closed we found a giant open field and took some more romantic pictures until the sun officially set. I can’t stress it enough how wonderful everything is during the winter time– perfect weather, soft light, no humidity, and clear blue skies. It’s the only time I truly enjoy shooting outdoors in Florida. But enough about that! Enjoy the set

I really try not to post that many pictures for my sneak peaks but I just happen to have too many favorites from photo sessions. Here’s a sneak peak of the couple from today before they jumped in the ocean (that I’ll save for the full post!).

Shelini and Damo had a traditional (but not *too* traditional) and very intimate Indian wedding ceremony late November with only immediate family in attendance. I’m so happy we were able to get some sunset pictures, as well as experiment with some post-sunset!
